When each Q4 ad goes live, and how that lines up with your plan

Your Q4 folder has 89 stills, 26 videos and 11 GIFs. This page sets out when each one goes live on Meta between now and 17 January, how we test them, and where we've moved something earlier than your plan to get sales in sooner. Sale ads and Build Your Drawer stay on hold as you asked.

01

Bed socks go live 13 Oct, not 1 Nov

They're already the best seller, and last year bed sock ads carried the whole quarter.

02

Men's gets its own budget

Men are 8% of spend but buy at the same cost per purchase as women. There's room to grow.

03

Christmas ads start 12 Nov, at low spend

No Christmas ads ran last year, so we find the winners before December rather than during it.

04

Launched in waves, not all at once

New ideas go out one or two a week, so every new ad gets enough spend to judge it.

The quarter at a glance

The top row is your plan. Below it is each group of ads, with what runs when. Striped bars are low spend while we learn, and Build Your Drawer is ready whenever you want it.

How it lines up with your plan

Four of your five acts and both always-on strands run on your dates. Two start earlier, both because the demand is already there.

Act 1 · 19–31 Oct
Build Your Drawer + Rethink your Basics

Basics ads go live 19 Oct. Build Your Drawer is ready but held until you give the go-ahead. Men's goes live 23 Oct with the For Him page.

Act 2 · 1–19 Nov
Home by Six & The Making Of

Bed sock ads start 13 Oct, not 1 Nov. Ribbed merino goes out 10 Nov, the day the product page goes live. The mill films aren't in this folder yet, so we'll add them when the cuts are ready.

Starts earlier
Act 3 · 20 Nov–1 Dec
Black Friday, 20% off £50

Sale ads run on your dates. The proven full-price ads and bed socks keep running alongside them, because last Black Friday the full-price ads beat the discount ads.

Act 4 · 2–25 Dec
The Original Gift

Christmas ads start 12 Nov at low spend so we know which ones work, then go to full spend on 2 Dec. Spend drops after the 22 Dec express cut-off.

Starts earlier
Act 5 · 26 Dec–17 Jan
For Yourself, up to 40% off

Boxing Day sale ads run on your dates, with Men's pitched as restocking and the bamboo video in the mix.

Men's + Basics strands

Men's gets its own ad set and its own minimum daily spend all quarter, so it always gets budget. Basics runs from 19 Oct.

How the ads are organised

Everything runs inside the one main campaign, but split into ad sets. Each new group gets a minimum daily spend so Meta can't ignore it.

Main Meta campaignCurrently £605 a day, and rising as results hold

Proven ads

Takes what's left

The ads already selling. Ads that aren't getting spend come out. Winners from testing get rebuilt in here.

Bed socks

~£80 a day minimum

Home by Six, Cold evenings, Clare M, and Alice's alpaca video.

Men's

~£80 a day minimum

Shown only to men until 2 Dec, then to everyone for gift buyers.

New ideas

~£60 a day minimum

One or two new messages a week, each judged before the next goes in.

Gifting

From 12 Nov

Low spend in November, then the biggest ad set in December.

Sale

20 Nov and 26 Dec

Black Friday, then Boxing Day. Separate from full price.

Why split it up? Right now every ad sits in one ad set of 42 ads. Meta puts most of the money behind a few, and 7 of the 12 autumn ads got almost no spend. New ads added there would get the same treatment.

How we test

Most messages come in three image versions (A, B and C). We judge the message, not the picture.

One image per message

Each message launches with its strongest image. The other two are saved for December, when the first ones tire.

Give it a week

About 7 days or ~£350 of spend before we judge it. Long enough to be fair, short enough to keep moving.

Judge it on cost per sale

What it costs to get a purchase, against what the proven ads manage.

Under ~£18: winner
Over £25: comes off

Winners move up

Winners get rebuilt into the proven ad set and get more budget. The next idea takes their slot.

Launch calendar

Each launch date, what goes live, the act it matches in your plan, and why it's timed that way. The codes match your Q4 ads sheet.

Bed socks + new press quotes

Bed socksNew ideas

Your planBed socks are Act 2 (1 Nov). Press runs all quarter as evergreen.

Correct Grey alpaca bed socks are already the best seller, and last year bed sock ads were 4 of the top 10 from mid-October to mid-November. Press is the best type of ad in the account right now: one press ad takes 27% of spend. We test one image per publication to find its replacement. Alice's alpaca video is the first Pairs ad where someone speaks to camera.

Your planGifting is Act 4, from 2 Dec.

Pairs ran no Christmas ads at all last December, so we don't yet know which of these will win. Two to three weeks at low spend tells us before December gets expensive, and "Not just for Christmas" works before December.

What we need from you

01

Can For Him go live before 23 Oct?

Men's ads go live the day the page does. The earlier it's up, the earlier they can start.

02

A page for the Basics ads

Which page should Rethink your Basics link to? There isn't a neutrals collection on the site yet.

03

9:16 versions of the stills

The stills are all 4:5. Upright 9:16 versions fill the whole screen in Stories and Reels, where our best ads run. Press, bed socks and men's first, please.

04

Ribbed merino photos

Are ME1-A to C the real ribbed merino? Your sheet flags them as a possible stand-in.
